Kathmandu Post

This article reports an ongoing case that EBT are working with. The article is by a British journalist who travelled to Nawalparasi along with EBT to report on its progress.

Nawalparasi is in the South of Nepal near to the Indian border and from there young women are more vulnerable to trafficking.

Festivals in Patan....

I have seen this spire for the past couple of weeks, being moved around parts of the city (It is not exactly hard to miss) it is incredible, when you get close there are people celebrating and worshipping all around it.

It is "The chariot procession of Rato Machhendranath" I found out from a local paper.

....And back to Godawari where the Esther Benjamin's Trust have two children's refuges.

The girls refugee is just at the end of this road, the view is amazing! It's about 40 mins out of Kathmandu.

I am yeti

Something new...

The last couple of images are two designs started by Samjahana, one of the deaf artists in the workshop. These images were taken last Friday when I showed the group how we could incorporate ceramics into designs for rings. They all seemed to thrive on trying something new, not so much on the design side, but we shall see how it develops this week.

Nawalparasi and Bhutwol

Visiting a school that EBT are supporting for its expansion in the slum area of Bhutwol.

Last week I went with the Trust on a trip out of Kathmandu to witness and document some of the work they are currently involved with concerning women trafficking in the area. I also got to see the school in Bhutwol, where I played about 10 minutes of cricket (thankfully) before it started to rain. Rain, rain, rain and lots of it.
