Chewing Gum
Buffalo intestines from a sacrifice are hung outside the door of a palace in Patan Durbar Square.
Various cooking utensils all handmade in a workshop behind the shop front.
I've been looking at pattern and materials around Patan the area I'm living in, to get ideas for a new jewellery collection. So far so good. I find a lot of distracting shapes and objects popping up, but working with the students, I have found is a great way for me to come up with new designs.
Paper factory
Last week I visited the factory where EBT buy the hand made papers for their print products. The products are made by three girls in the workshop next door to our jewellery workshop. From the factory I brought some screen printed paper and hand made books but didn't get to see the paper manufacturing itself so am going to have to go back and spend more.
